How to Use Gen-1
-
Upload a source video. This video will dictate the overall composition or structure of the output generation. Choose a video shorter than or exactly 15s if possible, but if your clip is longer than 15s, the first 15s will be used by default.
-
Select your style reference using the right-hand Style reference panel. You'll be able to choose between an uploaded image, original Runway presets, or a text prompt.
-
Adjust settings. Open up more settings by clicking Advanced in the Settings panel. Learn more about available advanced settings in Gen 1 here. Note: some advanced settings aren’t available when using a preset as your style reference.
-
Select Preview styles to see four previews of generations to choose from before committing credits. Or, you can simply proceed to Generate video.
-
Once generated, your generation will automatically be saved to your Runway assets.
