Introduction
By default, all assets generated in or uploaded to Runway are automatically set to private. This means that they're accessible by your account, but not to a greater teamspace.
There are two approaches to sharing assets with a teamspace:
- Sharing before generating by configuring the save location of a session
- Sharing after generating through your private assets
The best approach will depend on how your team typically operates. This article covers considerations when choosing between either approach.
Sharing new creations through a session
When working on shared projects, you can save assets to a teamspace before you start generating. This automatically saves all new assets to the teamspace as you create them, giving your teamspace members real-time visibility into your work.
Follow the steps below to configure assets to automatically share to your teamspace:
- Open a new session
- Name your session using a naming convention of your choice
- We recommend including details that will help your team understand the session and who created it, such as
[Project name] Your name — Status
- We recommend including details that will help your team understand the session and who created it, such as
- Select the Change folder button
- Expand Shared Assets and locate and select the teamspace
Tip: Teamspaces can be easily identified in this list by their icons. Teamspace icons contain the first two letters of the teamspace name.
Sharing existing creations through the asset browser
For more control over what gets shared, you can manually add completed generations to the teamspace. This approach works well when you only want to share specific assets, like your favorites or final results.
- Navigate to your Private Assets, which is the default visibility for all generations
- Locate the folder or asset you wish to share
- Click the ellipsis (...) and select Share
- Change the drop down menu to Share with team and click Next
- Choose the desired teamspace and click Share
Once the asset is shared, you can then organize it into the desired folder in the teamspace.
