Keeping your generations and creations organized is an essential part of maintaining speed, efficiency, and reliability during a creative project. Runway does a significant amount of asset organization for you automatically, but for more fine-grained file movement and sorting, there are plenty of features to try.
Where is the Assets page?
The Assets page is your account's file storage home. Find it by clicking on the Assets tab in the lefthand dashboard menu:
Where do generated video assets go?
Every time you generate a video asset with Gen-1 or Gen-2, it is automatically placed in the relevant tool's folder on the Assets page:
Where do uploaded assets go?
Any assets you upload rather than generate will be placed in the first tier of Assets page itself, unless you upload them to a specific folder:
Creating folders
To help keep files (both generated and uploaded) for different projects delineated and clean, you can sort groups of assets into folders. To create a folder, click the New Folder button in the top right corner of the Assets page:

If you want to move an asset from your main Assets page into a folder, simply click and drag:

For any asset that's already in a folder — including all generated assets — you'll need to first click into the folder where that asset lives. Then, drag the file to the name of the parent folder (or "Assets") in order to move it up a level. Then, click into that parent folder, and drag the file into the folder of your choice:
