Generating with Sessions

Introduction

When using Generative Video, it’s easy to end up with many variations of a similar shot while perfecting your input and output. Sessions help you organize videos as you create them in the Generative Video tool.

Sessions are exceptionally useful when iterating on a specific style, scene or shot, as they allow you to group these related outputs together and simplify the process of both comparing and refining your work.

You can review your sessions at any time by selecting the session list icon:

Starting a new session

A new session is created each time you open the Generative Video tool and submit a generation. The session will automatically be named something similar to the text prompt used in the first generation of the session.

If you’re currently in an existing session and would like to start a new session, open the session list icon and click + New

Returning to a previous session

Your previous sessions and generations can be accessed by switching to the desired session using the session list.

Renaming an existing session

Existing sessions can be renamed for further organization. Follow the steps below to rename a session:

  • Expand the session list
  • Click the ellipsis (...) next to the session you wish to rename
  • Click Rename
  • Enter the desired name for the session
  • Click Rename to complete

Deleting a session

You can delete a session at any time. Deleting a session will not delete the assets within it, meaning you’ll still be able to access any generations through your Assets folder.

Follow the steps below to delete a session:

  • Expand the session list
  • Click the ellipsis (...) next to the session you want to delete
  • Click Delete session
  • Either confirm or cancel the deletion in the confirmation pop up

Please note that sessions cannot be recovered once deleted.
