Runway sends two types of notifications: browser notifications that alert you on your desktop when a generation is complete, and email notifications for updates, newsletters and comment activity. You can turn each of these on or off from your account settings, and any changes you make are saved automatically.
Browser Notifications
Browser notifications send a desktop alert when a Text/Image to Video generation is completed, so you can start a generation and work elsewhere while it runs. To turn browser notifications on or off:
- Navigate to Settings
- Select the Notifications tab
- Use the toggle under Browser notifications
This setting is saved per device. If you use Runway on multiple computers, set your preference on each one.
Email Notifications
Under Email Notifications, check or uncheck each category to subscribe or opt out:
- General Updates — product news and updates from Runway
- Educators Newsletter — resources and updates for educators
- Marketing — promotional emails and offers
- Comments and mentions — an email when someone @-mentions you in a comment on an asset

Will my browser notification setting carry over to other devices?
No. Browser notifications are saved per device, so you'll need to set your preference on each computer you use.
