Introduction
In Runway, referral codes allow both the referrer and the referee to receive 1,000 credits if they both remain subscribed to a paid plan for two months. Learn more below on how to share and activate a referral code as well as other FAQs.
Sharing a referral code
You can share your referral code from your profile menu.
- Select your profile icon in the bottom-left corner
- Select Refer a friend
- Select Copy code and share it with your friends
Note: You and your referee(s) must subscribe to a paid plan within 7 days of signing up to receive 1,000 credits.
Activating a referral code
Referral codes are entered during sign-up.
- Sign up for a new Runway account
- Complete account verification
- On the next screen, enter your referral code and select Continue
- Subscribe to a paid plan
You and your friend will receive 1,000 credits if you both remain subscribed to a paid plan for at least 2 months.

The referrer and referee will receive 1,000 credits if both remain paid subscribers for at least 2 months.
Is there a limit to how many people can sign up using my referral code?
No, there is no limit to how many people you can refer.
Can I downgrade my plan and still receive 1,000 credits?
You may downgrade from a higher paid plan to a lower paid plan and still receive 1,000 credits. However, if you downgrade to a free plan prior to 2 months, you will not receive referral credits.
