Product Reshoot

Introduction

Product Reshoot lets you change the setting, environment, and creative concept of any product image — without a new photoshoot. Describe the scene you want, attach a reference image for visual direction, or apply a preset to place your product in a new context instantly.

It's built for e-commerce teams, brand managers, content creators, or anyone who needs to produce varied product visuals efficiently. Use it to generate seasonal variations, test different retail environments, or explore entirely new creative concepts from a single hero shot.

Prerequisites

Before using Product Reshoot, you'll need:

  • A product shot — a clean image of the product you want to reshoot

This app requires credits to run and does not support infinite generations in Explore Mode.

Step 1 — Accessing Product Reshoot

Product Reshoot lives in the Apps section of Runway. You can get there two ways:

  1. Navigate to Apps in the left sidebar, then browse to find Product Reshoot
  2. Use the search bar at the top of the Apps panel and type Product Reshoot

Select the app to open it.

Step 2 — Adding the inputs

Product Reshoot has one required input, with flexible options for directing the output.

Product Shot

Upload your product image using the Select button, drag and drop it into the upload area, or select Brand to pull from your Brand assets.

Directions

Use the Add directions field to describe the changes you want — the setting, lighting, mood, or environment for the reshot image. Product Reshoot is optimized for product imagery, so a brief description is enough to get strong results. You can also type @ in the directions field to attach a reference image for additional visual guidance.

Presets

Alternatively, select a preset to apply a ready-made scene concept in one click. Available presets include: All White, Desk Setup, Environment, Campfire/Outdoor, Gift Box, Steam Rising, Overhead Flat Lay, Beach, and Store Shelf.

You can use a text description, a preset, or a combination of both to direct your output.

Step 3 — Generating with Product Reshoot

Before generating, confirm:

  • Your product shot has been uploaded
  • A direction, preset, or both have been added to guide the output

Once everything looks good, select Generate. Product Reshoot runs on Nano Banana 2 and outputs at 16:9 by default.
