Introduction
Magnific Precision v2 is a high-control upscaling model that enhances image resolution while giving you detailed command over the output. Choose from three flavors optimized for different image types, set your scale multiplier, and fine-tune sharpness, grain, and detail levels to match your source material.
It's well suited for photographers, illustrators, and production teams who need precise, high-quality upscales rather than a one-size-fits-all result.
Step 1 — Accessing Magnific Precision v2
Magnific Precision v2 is available in the Custom tab in Runway.
- Select Custom in the left sidebar
- At the top of the interface, confirm Image is selected — Magnific Precision v2 is an image model and will only appear when Image mode is active
- Open the model picker at the bottom of the interface, select the Magnific filter or search for Precision v2, and select Precision v2 · Upscale Image
Step 2 — Adding the inputs
Upload the image you want to upscale using the Upload button or the file picker.
Magnific Precision v2 is built specifically for upscaling — no prompt is needed.
Step 3 — Generating with Magnific Precision v2
Before generating, configure your settings:
Flavor
Select the flavor that best matches your source image type:
- Sublime — for artistic and illustrated images with smooth gradients and vibrant colors
- Photo — for photographic images, preserving natural colors and realistic details
- Photo denoiser — for noise reduction in photos, ideal for low-light or grainy photographs
Scale
Set the scale multiplier for the upscale. The default is 2x.
Sharpness
Controls the crispness of edges and fine detail in the output. Adjust based on how much definition you want to emphasize.
Smart grain
Controls the amount of synthetic grain added to the upscaled image. Higher values produce a more filmic or textured result.
Ultra detail
Controls the level of fine detail enhancement applied during upscaling. Higher values produce more refined, intricate outputs.
Once your image is uploaded and settings are configured, select Generate.
