Using Connectors with Agent

Connectors let Runway Agent pull context from the tools where your work already lives. Connect your Dropbox, Figma or Notion account and Agent can reference briefs, designs and files from those tools directly in a session, and bring imported files in as assets for your generations.

Connectors is available on the Team plan. Each person connects their own accounts, and Agent only acts with the access you've granted.

Which Tools You Can Connect

Agent can connect to these tools today:

  • Dropbox — pull media, assets and brand files from Dropbox into a session
  • Figma — bring designs into a session as references
  • Notion — pull briefs, docs and references from Notion into your prompts

How to Connect a Tool

You connect tools from the Connectors list in the Agent composer. Each tool only needs connecting once per workspace.

  1. In the Agent composer, select +
  2. Under Starters, select Connectors
  3. Select Connect next to the tool you'd like to add

You'll sign in to the tool and approve access through its own sign-in flow. You can also ask Agent directly in chat, for example "Connect to my Notion account," and Agent walks you through connecting in the conversation. You can disconnect a tool at any time.

How to Use a Connected Tool in a Session

Once connected, reference the tool naturally in your prompts: "pull the brief from my Notion page," "use the product shots in my Dropbox folder" or "match the layout in my Figma file." Files Agent imports from a connector become assets in your session, the same as files you upload yourself, and go through Runway's standard content moderation.

FAQ

Which plans include Connectors?

Connectors is available on the Team plan. It isn't included on Free, Standard, Pro or Max plans, and it isn't currently available on Enterprise plans.

Does Runway store my Dropbox, Figma or Notion password?

No. You sign in through each tool's own secure sign-in flow, and Runway does not store your third-party credentials. You can disconnect a tool at any time, and you can also revoke Runway's access from the connected tool's own settings.

Can my team members use my connected accounts?

No. Connections are per person, per workspace. Each team member connects their own accounts, and Agent only accesses a tool on behalf of the person who connected it.

Are there limits on imported files?

Imported files are limited to 50MB each and to supported media types.

How is this different from uploading files?

Uploading works the same as always. Connectors remove the download-then-upload step: Agent pulls the file or context straight from the connected tool.
