You can cancel your plan by following the steps below:
- Log into the Runway app
- Click the user icon in the top right corner and select Manage your plan
- Select Cancel Plan
- Select a reason to provide feedback around the cancellation
- Add any additional details if applicable, then click Continue to cancel plan
- You’ll be redirected to Stripe. Select Cancel subscription to confirm the cancellation
Your plan will not be cancelled until you confirm the change in Stripe.
You'll retain your subscription until the end of your billing cycle after cancellation, but the subscription will not renew moving forward. This means you’ll still have access to the paid features until the renewal date.
If you only see the option to Renew your plan, this means that your subscription is already scheduled for cancellation.
FAQ
Why can’t I cancel my subscription even though I keep receiving failed renewal email notifications?
This likely means that your renewal date recently passed, and your subscription wasn’t canceled before then. Please reach out to Support for further assistance on your cancellation.
I just signed up but don’t want an ongoing monthly subscription. Can I cancel and still use the plan features?
Yes, you can cancel immediately after subscribing and will have access to the plan features until the end of the billing cycle.
Can I subscribe for a set amount of time, such as three months?
We do not currently offer the ability to schedule a custom subscription duration. You’d need to cancel the subscription manually once you’re ready to end the plan.
Will I lose my assets and projects after canceling?
No, your assets and projects will remain on your account unless you delete your account entirely.
Please note you will not be able to create any new projects once on the Free plan if you have over three projects.
Can I still use my purchased credits after canceling my subscription?
Yes, purchased credits will remain on your account until spent. It’s important to note that your current plan level determines the availability of features, not the plan type at the time the credits were purchased. For example, any generations made after downgrading to a Basic tier will have watermarks.
