Any generations you create can be downloaded to your local machine. Follow the steps below to download your assets and export video editor projects.
Downloading an asset
- Head to Private or Shared assets from the left-hand sidebar on your Runway Dashboard
- Navigate to the asset you want to download
- Click the three dots (...) in the bottom right corner of the asset
- Select Download from the dropdown menu that appears

Exporting a video editor project
Export format availability by plan
Video Editor Projects offer varying export formats depending on the currently active plan:
- Basic and Standard users can export Video Editor Projects to MP4 (H.264) files only.

Pro and Unlimited users can export Video Editor Projects
to the following
additional formats:
- PNG Sequence
- ProRes 4444
- Head to Video Editor Projects page from the left-hand sidebar on your Runway Dashboard
- Click into the project you wish to export
- Click the purple Export button in the top right corner, select the export resolution and format, and then choose Export Video
- Once exported, follow the steps listed under Downloading an asset above to download the project to your device
