Sometimes, it may appear that your generative video submission froze or got stuck. In the vast majority of cases, this fortunately is not the case. If your video generation seems to be "stuck" on any percent completion, rest easy knowing that nothing has gone awry. Even if the loader isn't showing active progress, the model is still actively handling your submission. You will not lose any credits, and there's a good chance you'll still get your video.

What's going on?

In most cases, the model is still actively completing your generation, and is not actually stuck. Give it a bit longer to work with your inputs, and it'll likely complete. If you leave or refresh the page before the generative video is completed, it will be saved automatically under Assets > Generative Video. Your credits will not be refunded, as the video finished generating successfully. If — for whatever reason — the generation does fail, the credits used to initiate the generation will be refunded automatically within several minutes.

Do I need to be concerned if my videos seem to be getting stuck?

Thankfully, no. The Runway team monitors generative video performance around the clock. If our official status page shows no signs of an outage, your generative videos are not actually stuck.
