Check your network connection
Before anything else, try these quick checks:
- Switch from Wi-Fi to a wired connection if possible
- Try a different network, such as a mobile hotspot
- Close other applications or browser tabs that may be using bandwidth
- Restart your browser and try again
If loading improves on a different network, your original connection is the likely cause.
If you're on a corporate network or VPN
Corporate VPNs route all internet traffic through your company's network. If that network is busy or has restrictions in place, it can slow down how quickly Runway loads assets.
To test whether this is the cause:
- Disconnect from your VPN
- Log in to Runway and open a session with the assets that were loading slowly
- Check whether performance improves
If performance improves, your VPN or corporate network is affecting Runway. Your IT team can review whether bandwidth limits or traffic routing settings can be adjusted.
If you are unable to disconnect from your VPN, ask your IT team to check whether Runway traffic is being throttled or routed through a proxy.
